Chicken
The flock of chicken roaming the grounds of the sawmill play an essential part of the everyday operations. They are really good helpers because they like to eat the bugs that fall out when the bark is stripped away before the sawing process.
They seem to like cuddling and despite the loud machinery do not appear bothered by all the noise.
Because of the constant supply of food from the trees they live a very good life with lots of larvae to eat.
They lay an egg a day and it is claimed that the ones with brown earlobes will lay brown eggs whereas those with white earlobes lay white eggs.
